In this course, teachers are encouraged to integrate all aspects of the Spanish language to their teaching process and to speak Spanish to the studenst at all possible times.  How are we going to achieve these goals? Through movies! Yes, with films teachers will have the opportunity to help their students to improve their fluency of the language, reflect on the language system, ask questions about grammatical doubts and correct usage of the language. In addition, teachers and their students will also be able to witness and discuss every day culture in a wide variety of settings. They will see how Hispanic people speak with different accents, eat, cook, show affection, travel, play, get married, raise their children and interact with each other. Students will acquire not only language skills but cultural proficiency as well. (Instructor: Wanda I Ocasio-Rivera)
